Can I get a trade ref removed?

I'd like to get a trade reference removed - not a bad ref by any means, just a wrong ref.

Nick Tompkins left me the following trade ref:

However, the reference in question wasn't a trade I had any part of and I feel rather uncomfortable taking credit for a trade that I didn't do. Is it possible to get this ref removed? Please feel free to PM or Email Nick Tompkins and verify it.
