Kendo call out...

Hi folks, I was wondering if there are any Kendoist here at B-town, or folks getting out of Kendo. The reason I ask is I belong to a group of people that practice Kendo in a Dojo free area. We each supply what we have for the whole group to use. We practice without a fee, and our Sensai asks for no money for his services. We practice in the local park when its warm and at a local gym when it is not. This has been a great program for the last two years. Now our numbers are starting to grow and we need more equipment.

Now I'm not begging for handouts (which would be nice) but we are looking for your old, used and unused Kendo Gear. I have A nice sized 40k Nurgle army, A Sisters of Battle Army, A Large Collection of Shadowrun Figures and lastily My Star Wars Toy Collection up for trade to help my club out. If any of these things interest you, I can send you the list. What we are looking for Are complete suits of Kendo Armor, Kendo Armor Parts, Shanais (the bamboo practice swords), bamboo practice Naginatas, just about anything to bulk up what the club has to help out it's new members.

You can get Shinais for pretty cheap (under or about $20) especially on ebay, where you can get large discounts for buying more. Shouldn't be too hard to collect a bit of money from each person in your group.

Thanks Sid, that's what I'm sending those with cash to do. It's a good idea, now I just need to scrape up some extras for "loaner" kits and whatnot. Thanks for putting up with thes post, and if anything I listed there catches your eye and anyone has spare kendo gear taking up space, just drop me a line! Thanks Gang!
