I'm new here and i was wondering why some PMs stay in the outbox for hours upon hours before being sent. Do PMs have to process or are they only sent when a member is logged on or what?

the go to the sentbox when the member logs in and actually receives the PM.

PMs will stay in your outbox until the member they are addressed to logs in, at which point the pm gets sent to their inbox.

It's a good indication of how often (or if at all) a person you're trying to contact logs in.
