It was down for me as well.

Haven't heard anything from the big boys on it though. Maybe it was just a Canada thing... Did anyone else find Btown down?

Yep. Quite frustrating.

Well, I can tell you that Adam doesn't always notify us in advance when he'll be updating the system. So, it's possible he was working on it.
It's also possible that there was a problem with the hosting service.

Honestly, I'd expect the latter more than the former, as Adam usually lets us know in advance or immediately after he's taken the site down.

That said, I've heard nothing on it & cannot add any personal experiences, since I'm having sporadic access issues at home while dealing with a dying dsl modem & was not on here from home all weekend. : (

Weird Messaging problems occurring right now (128PM EST 9/20).

Sending messages is screwed up. I thought I failed to send a message 5 times and succeeded 1 time. Actually it worked 2 times.

Firecam just sent me 3x of the same message, so I am guessing he's running into the same issue.

For the sake of argument, lets say I never look at PMs during the weekend

Somebody send MM a DSL. Or maybe "dying DSL" = wife saying, "Get off that computer or I'm going to break the modem!"

LOL Not quite.
In fact, "dying DSL" = the wife b!tching, "Why can't I get online? Why are these red lights flashing? Can't you fix the damn thing? You fix every other problem that pops up with the computer!"

Le sigh.

Idea: Check with your IT department at work and see if they don't have one that is due to be surplussed/thrown out because it is obsolete, but still works.

Tried.

Keep in mind that I work in banking. They don't give up ANY electronic products. They sell it ALL (and I mean ALL) to be refurbished/recycled. We can't even buy them for whatever they'd sell it to the vendor for. : (

I was getting a SLQ 1040 error all afternoon yesterday.
It's been fine since then.

The outage error I got indicated a MySQL database error with too many connections. Since I am a web app developed who uses MySQL, I know our systems are set for 100 simultaneous connections. Rarely do I see that error. I am now sure though what the hosting company provides for database allowances for bartertown.
