Hi All,
Something odd happened this evening... a friend and fellow Btowner sent me a link for a trade he thought I'd like via MSN (which I was using on my Blackberry). I followed the link and it took me to a banned message! (but didn't show me logged in)
I tried logging in with my account and got the same message.... funny thing is that when I got to my laptop to dig into the issue further... I logged right in and had no problems. I haven't tried Btown with my blackberry again (a little scared to!) but I just figured I'd jump on here and report the issue - and wonder if anyone else has had this happen?
Thanks!
Barry

Re: Blackberry Issues Commonplace?
This seems to be becoming commonplace for people accessing the site via cell service. Perhaps cells have a smaller DHCP footprint/selection than actual internet providers have, and since we ban people by username, IP address, and e-mail; maybe we're slowly eroding away at that footprint/selection. Might have to do some research on how cell services access the internet.

Re: Blackberry Issues Commonplace?
This is a problem specific to Blackberries, actually. A user was banned, and as part of that his IP addresses were added to the ban list. One of those IP addresses appears to have been a common one used by a Blackberry ISP. We're trying to resolve the issue.
So if you're on a Blackberry and you get a banned message, unless you're that one person (who knows who they are anyway) YOU ARE NOT BANNED.
