I mean... although I don't play fantasy, I DO think the Chaos Dwarves are a cool idea.
Not a big fan of the big HATS, but I like some of those OOP models...
... If that was their "big announcement," though, I'm disappointed because they said it would be something new and never seen before. Chaos Dwarves aren't new.

Well, consider this, a lot of the newbs never heard of them. They're are probably people out there who think a chaos dwarf are the guys who operate the Hellcannon.

I am sure they will look like the new Hellcannon guys. Probably still roughly based on Assyrians though.
I have also heard rumor of FW doing Chaos Dwarves.
I personally was hoping for Cathay or Nippon.
I think the NEW race announcement was for 40K.

You guys need to take this with a grain of salt. Apparently the people on BoLS and several other sites are blowing this WAY out of proportion. What happened, according to people who attended the Q&A forum, was someone asked Jervis if and when the Chaos Dwarves would be redone and he gave an answer along the lines of "Everything is going to be redone eventually." So they could be talking next year or ten years from now. But as soon as their was confirmation that Chaos Dwarves would indeed get a redo it's like everyone seems to think they're the next army after Skaven which is likely a pipe dream.

GW did announce that a "new, non-human" race was going to be released for one of the two systems early next year.
To be honest Chaos Dwarves were one of the few that really fit the bill as they were never officially retired, they just faded into the darkness. (Long die the squats!!!!)
Now I understand that everything in rumors until the final showing. They could simply bring out something from nowhere and suprise us all.
Not that I care in any form or another. It isn't an army I'm going to even touch as I barely have the time to play 40k.
