BTR- Bleeding Through- Kevin Dudgeon -Resolved without Kevin

Post by Lord_Goober »

Ok. First time I'm having to do one of these. Since everybody ends up being a new member of this forum one way or another I figured I'd give someone a first trade/purchase on this forum. I first contacted this person on November 13th asking a price on two portions of his lot of items and then told him I intended to purchase one of the portions and asked for paypal info and then sent him the money on November 14th. My last pm from him was on November 20th. His last login here was on the 27th. I still haven't seen the miniatures I was expecting to receive from him and it's been well over a month since I sent him the money.

The miniatures in question are 11 GW Mordor Uruk Hai miniatures from the Lord of the Rings line.

Link to the initial forum post that he made

Here is the PM series that I have made with him.

I'm interested in some of your stuff. I'm at this shipping address

[My address snipped]

My primary interest are in at least 8 of these, maybe all 11 depending on the price

11 metal mordor uruk hai

Secondary/Tertiary is the stuff under here,

metal haradrim chieftan on foot and mounted
1 metal hasharin on foot

How much would you want for the Primary stuff and then as a total for the secondary?

I'll take the mordor uruk hai. you got a paypal address for me?

Obviously I'm in the USA so you'll need to tack that onto the end of the address.

Ok. I'll paypal you the money in a little while. This should pretty much finish off my Mordor force at this point.

Ok. When I PPed you the money for the mordor uruk hai, I should have put in the message that those were the only things I was going to grab from your lot. I apologize for not being clearer on that. I half expect that you were probably waiting for a possible second payment for the other stuff before shipping.

Quick question, have these gone out yet? I still haven't seen them arrive yet and it's been a couple weeks since I heard from you.

I know that royal mail can be a bit slow, but could you please get back to me on when you got the Mordor Uruk Hai out in the mail? I see you haven't logged in since a week after the last time you PMed me. I'm a little worried here. Please get back to me ASAP.

We are at the 1 month point since I paypaled you the money for the Mordor Uruk Hai and 3 weeks since I sent the clarification that all I wanted was the Mordor Uruk Hai. I haven't seen the models arrive yet nor have you been on this forum since the 27th of November. I'm giving you one more week to either come online here and respond to my PMs or my minis arrive in the mail before I start a paypal dispute for the money I sent you.

-----------------------------------------------

After doing this PM, which hadn't been read nor had the three prior since he hasn't been on this forum since November 27, I sent this email to the email address I sent the paypal money to. Since it didn't bounce it was a valid address.

Hello. I'm now attempting to contact you directly through the email that I paypalled you money to purchase some Mordor Uruk Hai from bartertown with.

It has been one month since I sent you the money and 3 weeks since I sent the clarification that all I wanted was the Mordor Uruk Hai that you had to offer. I understand that Royal Mail can be somewhat of a pain for how long it takes to ship. However it would be nice for you to respond to pms that I have sent on bartertown wondering what the status of my purchase is on whether it has been sent or not.

As a courtesy I will be giving you one more week for either my miniatures to reach me or for you to contact me and be perfectly clear on where my miniatures are before I start a paypal dispute for this transaction.

Here is the paypal email for the completed transaction

You sent a payment
Transaction ID: 33B81528XJ479480C

Dear Robert Klemic,

You sent a payment for £22.00 GBP to Kevin Dudgeon.

Please note that it may take a little while for this payment to appear in the Recent Activity list on your Account Overview.

At this point I have gone and opened a paypal dispute with him to see if I can get contact that way. If I haven't seen anything back from him before the 29th, I will escalate this to a claim and try to get my money back.

Escalate the claim as soon as you're allowed.
Also, you might try emailing him at the same address, but use "@live.com" instead.

Attempted to contact using the @live.com version of the address. No bounce but no response either. I'll be escalating to a paypal claim at noon tomorrow.

Since it's been suggested I escalate as soon as possible I assume that there have been issues with this person before possibly via a different account?

It's more a situation of you don't lose anything by escalating early but you can potentially lose by escalating late.

Claims can also take a significant amount of time, so the sooner you file, the sooner the claim is resolved.

This is the most pertinent reason for filing ASAP. Zaxon, however, can personally attest to the (truthful) nightmare that is his comment.
