Bad Trader: MIKEWOOD - Resolved by Mikewood

Post by Artimese »

Hi all,

I recently (June 21st) sent $16 via paypal to Mike Wood for 4 complete sisters with meltaguns. I have not recieved the said sisters and he has not responded to my last e-mail (July 15) even though he has posted a new ad here today.

And my proof follows:

From: "artimese" <artimese@comcast.net>
To: <lordofthedunce@gmail.com>
Subject: sisters
Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2005 21:46:15 -0700
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0003_01C575E1.7BC756C0"

X-MSMail-Priority: Normal
X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.2180

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

------=_NextPart_000_0003_01C575E1.7BC756C0
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset="iso-8859-1"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

I will take you up on your offer. Just out of curiosity are the =
painted/primed and do the come complete (IE do they have backpacks and =
bases)?

How would you like payment? I can do paypal, check, or money order.

Thanks,

Mark

You have not sent out the minis I paid for and you are waiting on recieving
one before you can ship them to me?

Is that correct?

Ok, its been another week sice you said the minis were in the mail and I
have not gotten anything. Have you actually shipped them? If you did, what
address did you ship them to?

Since the 21st of July will be one month since I sent payment via Paypal, I
will expexct to have in my possesion one of 2 things on that thursday:
A. 4 complete unpainted meltagun sisters of battle.
B. $16 in my paypal account. Which is this e-mail address.

If I have not recieved one of those 2 points by the 21st, I will file mail
fraud charges. If I do not recieve an answer to this e-mail that I find
satisfying, I will post this information up on Bartertown in the bad trader
section.

Please just follow thru with the deal or return my money.

Mark Evenson

I have not recieved a reply and I noticed that he had placed an ad today for the selling of a titian:
viewtopic.php?t=6389&highlight=

All I want is to either get my money back or the minis. I also want to make sure no one else is scammed by him. As such I am going to post a link to this warning in his ad.

Wow look at that, you post a warning about someone in their ad and they magically respond to you. I will update this when/if I get my money.

His reply makes it sound like he's now going to search out your posts

Grow up, Mikey.

cant help it must fight urge :lol: ok

seems odd to me as well but im a jerk and sometimes slow at shipping but i always throw extra thing in when i do and if it doesnt arive and i have another ill ship it to you if not i try to find it. but i have learned to not leave shipping my trade items to some one else.

unless its a packing store in that case im paying to have my items shipped for me, that i take to them.
Thanks To trade master Adam i have one account again yea

gee I was just going to post a bad trader alert on Mike Wood and it looks like you beat me too it...

On June 22nd he posted DDD figs for sale. He said he has 1-atv, 1- recon bike, col. mcknight, and 4 delta inf (primered) and will sell for 15$ inc shipping. I sent him a check and haven't seen anything. Ironically he cashed my check. He said on July 7th that they were returned to him which is really weird and he was sending them out again. He won't give me a tracking number and won't reply to my emails.

I guess my next stop is the police...

oh well at least it's only 15 bucks but it's still mail fraud...

I have not recieved re-payment from Mr. Wood yet.

This matter is still unresolved.

Mr. Wood, please feel free to post proof of payment to me. A copy and paste of the confirmation e-mail from paypal would do nicely.

Well, I'll be damned.

Mr Wood has sent me $12 via PayPal.

Sure, its short $4, but I am relatively happy.

Whoa, it's nice and all that you got something but when did it become acceptable to only refund PART of the bad trade?

IMO He owes $4 period.... you paid $16 you deserve $16 back.

He obviously can't say "it's for shipping" as they were NEVER shipped.

As far as the pity party about "oh I am done trading after this"... PLEEEEEASE DON'T GOOOOO! NOOOOOOO YOU HAVE TO STAAAAAAAY!

Mr. Wood has completely refunded my money (actually $1 more).

Feel free to lock this thread.

All I can say at this juncture is that if I ever deal with him again (highly unlikely) he would have to ship first reguardless of any other considerations.

On the brite side, I did not have to file mail fraud charges and x6ftundx has recieved a tracking number for his stuff. So hopefully everything worked out there.
