Just an FYI, Ticknor has once again had accusations of bad trading posted against him on the Privateer Press trading forums. He had previously claimed to only have traded with one person via the PP forums, which appears to now be a lie. Buyer Beware.

It hasn't been deleted, but you need to be logged in to their board to access threads in the scrapyard (trade) forum.
Another user there has called for a vote to ban ticknor from the PP forums:
Quote:
Please respond with a bold yes to ban him and a no to keep him around and let him steal your models and money. In fact, if you vote no I will provide you a link to his address (one of them anyway) so that you can just send him your spare minis and extra money.

BTW, since this isn't actually a bad trader report, shouldn't it be in a different forum?

Except that it's exactly a bad trader report. It may not be here, but it concerns the community at large. It's hard to argue against Bartertown being the most orginized gathering house of information on notorious bad traders, Ticknor being a prime example. So, just providing it for completenesses sake.
If reports are true, he's a) still at it, and b) providing quite bogus information to people, and c) quite contrary between people (uses ebay, doesn't use ebay, has only traded with one person, hasn't, etc), beliving that if he doesn't post it publicly, it can't be contradicted. Just making sure he's wrong.
Apparently, with some people, turning over a new leaf involves having a quite large stack of equally rotten leaves.

It is good that people like yourself are sharing information about Jason's activities. Hopefully it will be helpful in keeping others from being ripped off. I'm all for completeness in information, and perhaps there should be a detailed listing of the claims against Ticknor (either hosted here or elsewhere) - i might even be willing to help set such a thing up.
I'm neither disputing his status as a bad trader, nor questioning the veracity of the claims in the linked post. All i'm saying is that i don't think your post here meets the standards of a bad trader report for this forum. I'm not saying that it should not be posted, only that i think it should have been in the misc messages forum. Part of the reason Bartertown is so good at tracking bad traders is the strict requirements that are in place for this forum.
IMO, this thread doesn't meet those requirements and should have been placed elsewhere.
Please don't take offense, i'm not trying to criticize you at all, mearly stating my opinion. If the mods agree, they'll move it. If not, they won't.

Ticknor's a special case.
I'm beginning to wonder if he has some sort of mental problem associated with this; I don't see how someone could live with themselves otherwise.

First off, I would like to see the first post in this thread shifted to one of the (many) Jason Ticknor threads that we have going.
Second, I would argue for a diagnosis of Antisocial personality disorder with oppositional, impulsive and compulsive traits. So yes, a mental disorder.
Lastly, the thought of
www.jasonticknor.com makes me LAUGH.

On the subject of Ticknor's mental disorder(s) I presonally beleive it's cleptomania, but if it's not and it's something new I propose the name Ticknorism. I can see it in a medical dictionary now"Ticknorism- An obsessive compulsive disorder that compels the afflicted to steal minis and money from random people they've never met" I think that would be it eh?

One wonders if he has a brick/mortar store somewhere that he gets rid of the stuff he steals.
Either that, or a HUGE play room...

Will someone please (bleep) this guy?
Good lord this is getting ridiculous.
Thanks for the updated info. I'll add it to the sticky. I will leave this post open for one more day to see if anything new develops.
