Backout - monroe126 (Mike & Shaun Yu)

Post by squalie » Tue Mar 16, 2010 3:23 am

I've never done this before so I hope I'm doing it right. monroe126 posted on my thread asking for items, to which I responded via pm. Here's what happened...I put this in chronological order. The only pm missing is the one where I state that I will be in touch shortly.

Again, thanks for the interest and here's my offer:

The retail value of the items that you want, based on Games Workshop USA is $832.00 USD.

I will discount everything @ 40%, give you ALL the Lords/Heroes and even include free shipping!
Strangly enough, and you can do the math, it comes out to $500.00 exactly!

So, $500.00 USD and I will include more figs and free shipping. Hey, you're a fellow Canadian!

If it'll help, I'll even throw in a unit of unpainted metal Chaos Knights!

Thanks again,

Don.

500$ in one shot is really a lot of money. but i know that price you give me is really good.
I can see the condition.
It might help deciding, please do.

Is that the lowest price you can go? Can we get it at 400?

Thanks for the response!

Here's some pictures of most of the stuff. The absolute best I would do is $450.00. With shipping, that is 50% off and that is a very good deal considering the items in this bundle. I also found 2 more Horrors, so that's 46!

Thanks again,

Don.

Ok. I think it settled, the shipping would be more than 50$ right?
anyway, after thoughts along as my value is lower than 500$ on your new computation that should be fine

Mike and Shaun,

I will pack everything up, and on Monday take it to the Post Office to get an exact shipping price. I really don't think that shipping will be near $50.00. I would guess around $25.00. So, it would all total around $475.00, I'm guessing.
Once I get you an exact total, you can pay my Paypal account and I'll ship same day. Just so you know, I'm still going to include the metal Chaos Knights, free of charge, as I'll never use them. Enjoy!

Thanks for everything and I'll contact you Monday morning with a total.

Don.

Thank you.
Please note that the package should arrive before March 19.
And with tracking. Cause I'm leaving on the 22th for a long trip to asia.
If we need to make it express mail please do so.
And if the difference is too high, provide me the options available.

Regards,

Mike & Shaun

That sounds great. I will give you all the details Monday.

I will go to the Post Office early, find out an exact price. I will then pm you with the price and Paypal address. I will do this early in the day so that I can ship the same day after you agree. If I send this on Monday, it will get to you way before March 19.

Thanks for everything,

Don.

Mike and Shaun,

To send the package Regular mail, would take 5 days, does not have insurance, but does have tracking. That would cost $13.35 plus taxes.

To send Express mail, would take 2 days and has tracking and Insurance. That would cost $27.41 plus taxes.

If you sent $475.00 to my paypal address squalie66@hotmail.com, I would send this package Express mail Tuesday morning.

Let me know what you think,

Don.

$27.41 plus taxes is my share or the total for sending the package?

Mike and Shaun,

I'll be as accurate as possible. You have agreed to pay $450.00 USD for the list of items. I went to the post office with the packed box and found that it would cost $27.41 to ship it to you. That is the price for Express post, with 2 day delivery and tracking and Insurance. The total would have been $477.41, but I just wrote that you would pay $475.00 to make it make it more simple.

If you pay $475.00 to my paypal account, I will ship the items with Express post and you will receive them in 2 days.

Let me know what you think,

Don.

Mike and Shaun,

I have had plenty of pm's with people asking for the same items that you have claimed. I have packed the items and sent you an exact amount so that I can send the items you agreed to purchase. You also said that you would pay today, with Paypal, yet you have been online twice with no payment made. I see little reason that funds have not been paid by now.

Unless I receive payment with your return message this evening, I am going to assume you have no intention of purchasing these models and they will be reposted after midnight.

Please respond with payment, or a cancellation of your intent to purchase.

Thank you,

Don.

Mike and Shaun,

I can only assume you received my previous email. With your reluctance to reply to my pm's I contacted other Bartertown members who had asked to buy my items.

The only items I have left are the following:

66 Daemonettes, no command, bare plastic.
1 Karanak, bare metal.
1 Bloodthirster, bare metal.
1 Nurgle champ, bare metal.
1 Lord on Juggernaught, NIB.
1 Lord on Disc, NIB.
1 Mounted Sorcerer, bare metal.
1 Dragon Ogre, bare metal.
8 Nurglings, bare metal, no bases.

My offer is $225 USD, including shipping with tracking and insurance. I will still include the 5 metal Chaos Knights as previous agreement. If you agree to this, pay my Paypal account squalie66@hotmail.com and I will send the items Monday morning and you will have them in 2 days. I will hold these items and await payment, until midnight Sunday March 14.

I await your response.

Mike and Shaun,

Have you gentlemen come to a decision?

Thanks,

Don.
-----------------------------------------------------END

When they responded with a question about the Chaos Knights that were getting for free, I was pretty certain that I wasn't getting blood out of a stone.

I also contacted another member who I noticed was having difficulty getting paid from these two. He also stated that they were giving him the run around, but kept promising to pay. I don't think anything came out thet one. What really tears me is that I packed all of this stuff VERY well, and took it down to the post office. They absolutely wasted my time.
As of Sept 1/2010, I will charge actual shipping fees based on size and weight of package using the Canada Post website. Canadian shipping fees can be significant and I can no longer ignore the expense. Thank you for your understanding.

You are not getting anything. You have had enough chances to pay, reply to my messages and you have been offered an excellent deal everytime. You do nothing but waste my time and I no longer wish to deal with you.

I have posted a Backout trader report. Please go read it and learn. If you have any other concerns please contact an Admin.
