Hi folks,
Not really sure where to go for this. I did a trade with [Admin edit - "ANOTHER MEMBER" - No "name and shame" outside the BTR forum] here. Sent off my models which were received. He emailed me that he had pneumonia and was in the hospital, which it know does suck. However it has been a month since then and he has not replied to any of my emails.
What are our options at this point. In general if someone gets payment (or models) and does not deliver goods do we call the cops or someone to collect? Does Bartertown have some way to help?
If this dude is dying I can understand, and why I do not want to do a BTR yet, but the non communication is worrisome to me. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them!

First off this should be in the help section not the BTR section.
Secondly, has he been loggin on Btown? Has he been reading your messages? (If they go from Outbox to Sent it means he has read them).
Lastly, PM an admin (red name) with as much info as you can and I am sure they will more than likely help you out.
Personally for me, I would send a message here (if he has been logging in) notifying them that you have not yet received your models and you will have to resort to filing a BTR (and then a Police Report) if they do not come through, whether it's a message letting you know or something else.
If he hasn't been on in a while, try and find his Facebook/Myspace, whatever information you can (You should have something since you sent him your models). Try contacting him on Facebook, be polite and don't attack him with accusations, just tell him you are worried how he was since you hadn't heard form him and was wondering on a status update. If he still negates in replying, try contacting family or friends with the same attitude. Let them know who you are and that you had a deal with him and you were wondering how he was doing/update on his health and status of your side of the trade.
If even that does not go anywhere and you have tried calling him, his friends, family, etc than you know something is up and I would escalate it further.
I'm sure others (including the admins/mods) will help you further with more information regarding what can all be done.
Hope all works out!
