Dude, this is all beating a dead horse.

If you don't want to see someone's post, put them on your foes list, As Osloco said, it will be a line saying this post was made by ________. do you want to view this post (click here)? or something like that.

As for your references, your few trades may be good, and by the strict letter of the word, they are "impeccable". However, face some facts, there ain't that many to get all wound up about. No matter the "quality" of your references, the number remains the same. Some people like to write out long references, however most do not, so your 6 sentence ref means as much to me as the 5 word one. Is it positive? Check. Are there no negatives? Check. Carry on then.

Getting all wound up about it is going to do more damage than another person PMing people about you, as your posts are up for everyone to see, and it does look like you are getting a little overly paranoid. You've been here 2 years and made 7 trades...I think you are safe.

Don't get me wrong, your refs are good, but to me it means no more that someone with another 14 rating assuming theirs are all positive. When I see you "reporting" people because they don't agree with you...that gives you a big red X in my book right off the bat.

No problem, Thanx for the info. By the way though, I have never once reported anyone for disagreeing with me. That was a fabrication they made up. I reported them for slander and lies trying to tell others to not deal with me. I dont care if anyone agrees with me or not, its a free country (at least the one I live in, not sure where the site is hosted) so people should be perfectly free to disagree and I personally encourage people to state their mind rather then allow themselves to be too frightened to. Of course, that is a totally different topic to this one.
I see what you mean in that not everyone reads the full reference and merely looks for positive/neutral/negative symbol. I myself always at least take a glance through the refs to see what they actually say (or at least a few random ones in the cases of prolific traders). That is because I feel that the 3 choices are a bit limiting. Many people are too intimidated to leave anything but positive but put into the ref if anything went wrong. It also allows people to put in things about the trade if they think a positive is not good enough and want to put in extra highlights. Not everyone of course, but some do. I may not be rich enough to make hundreds of trades (congratulation to those who are the well off financially) but i feel that quality standards should be upheld regardless of the number of trades. That is why I make sure that EVERY trade/deal I do is of the utmost quality and the other person get everything expected and more in a timely manner with great communications. I understand your point though, you would have to actually trade with me to see that for yourself because we have seen that it would be far too easy to make fake accounts and boost your own references or make deals with a few other members to post hundreds of fake references for one another. So your point is well taken that my mere 7 references mean nothing.

Refresh my memory on that I can't recall anybody creating fake accounts and posting 100's of fake refs for one another?

Do you have any actual data to back this up? HUNDREDS of fake references are hard to accomplish...

That was an extreme example that is theoretically possible. We have seen that it IS possible (and not particularly hard to do), not saying that any particular person has done it. Although, how many accounts has jason ticknor had here? I dont know how many of his accounts have overlapped. There could easily be others in the past or present who have had multiple accounts at a time.
Regardless of that whether it is/has happened or not, the point is, I personally feel that it is a good idea to read through at least a few of the references in order to see more detail about how the person deals. Not everyone does the motions of just posting a reference in order to do it. Likely (if the person has any amount of trades, even as few as 7) someone will have given some details.

LOl, I'll steal that pic because I have seen a lot of need for it. Luckily, it has never needed to be used in regards to myself (and wont any time soon).

LOL, I'll have to steal that picture as well as I have seen where it would be useful too. Likewise, it is not relevant to myself. LOL, some of these, I may even find useful on other sites too as idiots are all over the web.

Oh, they were aimed at you. lol
For a moment, I almost thought you meant they were aimed at me but rereading through this thread and all of my other posts, I saw that not a single post I have ever made here would warrant them to be aimed at me.
