You ever started to paint something and then...

Post by kturock »

put it aside when you couldn't decide on how you wanted finish it?

I'm trying to finish up some models for the painting contest and am finding some that are started but not finished. They got put aside when I couldn't decide on what colors I wanted to use. Now I'm at a loss to what to use.

Anyone else have this problem?

I feel your pain! I get into and out of the hobby every few years. (Check out my feedback for a laugh! ) Not only do I have half painted projects, I've found about 10 unopened boxes this go 'round! Am I painting them? Sort of but the AoS has caught my attention. I think the next trick is to base with magnets so I can go round or square!

AoS doesn't need square bases. Matter of fact, the new models are on round.
So, unless you player last edition warhammer of 1 of the other fantasy games, bases don't matter.

Yeah, bases are just aesthetic, and IDK, might not be the best to make another barrier to getting guys painted ;)

I expect honesty about models' conditions, thank you.

If I don't respond in a day or two, please check back, I've forgotten-sorry.

I've got my IoB rat ogres' skin finished, fur almost done(some blander looking spots need 'that something'), the nails are done, but the face area, metal and cloth parts are giving me that' what the hell are you gonna do here' look. It should be easy, but I can't get it right. Currently, scared I'll botch it and ruin them if I try too much. The skin is the best skin I've ever done(not saying much). They turned out great from my expectation tho'

Painting for me is something that comes and goes.

I still have a Knight Errant just sitting here because I cannot decide for love nor money whether I'm going mechanicus or imperial, and if imperial, which one of two houses....

This happens to me fairly regularly, I'd say.
On r/miniswap under the same name. Please be polite & answer PMs, even if all you tell me is "No thanks," or "I need more time." I expect lower rating to ship first, even if that's me, unless we work something out in advance.
