Yeah I do love me my airbrush. Especially on larger models like this guy.
Here are some updated WiP pics!
I went over the skin again. Adding red at the skin tears/stretches and just cleaning up places I thought needing touch-ups. I need to finish the skulls, horns and teeth/claws/toes and then work on the belt and metals. I'll be adding a final highlight onto the majority of the large boils but want to get the rest done before I do that. Should have him finished tomorrow and then tackle his brothers and the base. Going to Greenstuff the base. Total scratch build

The Glottkin be done!
What a great model to paint. Definitely my favourite so far for sure. I added some OSL effects to the puss mushroom things on the base and added some water effects which I find work very well. Then some green flames on the top from the magic brother and flame pole-thing.
Enjoy!

Update on what I have been working on.
Stompa is almost done! Just need to rust up the right arm and then finish the left and glue it on!

Stompa is finished!
Love how it turned out. This little stumpy guy has been fun to paint. He was given a very dirty look as Orks aren't the cleanest of creatures. That and I wanted to show the amount of salvage and battle it has/would have seen. I also wanted to paint it yellow because yellow can be grimed up so nicely (and probably one of the easiest). I think I saw somewhere there was a yellow paint scheme for a major Ork clan (perhaps I was mistaken) and red is always a favoured colour since they think it has mystical powers.
Enjoy!

Interesting execution on the nurgle dudes and, as always, those hot spots are coming out really well. How much of that is the camera vs. how they look?

Thanks Spiraling.
The hot spots are actually fairly close. Unfortunately (but at the same time fortunately) lighting and the camera work will always help brighten areas. I like to use bright colours so the light has even more to work with. The yellow on the boils and mushroom-puss things is Flash Gitz (the brightest yellow I have ever seen apart from neon) so really helps pop on the model (and on the base with the dark earth). Although I used a bright bright white (like pure white) to hit the tops of the mushroom-puss things before applying the yellow to give it that extra level.
Depending on the angle of the model and where it is when the light hits it, you can see the correct level of brightness. Especially with the mushroom-puss things.
It's fun doing OSL and I am still learning new things everyday (which i suppose we all do really!).

Well it has been busy, that is for sure!
I was able to finish this guy recently and today got some pics done up.
I kind of wanted a bloaty toad look. Purple, of course, was added since I love how purple can be used to symbolize flesh and shadows. I also used a candy paint to give the blood a glossy look.
Enjoy!

Really like the bone and gore, thought the bronze was a touch flat.
And nice job w/ all the other colors mixed into the skin, works well.

Yeah I've never been a fan of metals. That's most likely from my lack of enjoyment of them. I wish the sword had more detail and maybe some different metal pieces. Then at least I could have played with the metals a bit.

I actually forgot this thing existed lol. Been so busy this year with work that I barely painted at all .
My fingernails grow faster than what is "normal", although I wouldn't cal them that long lol.
Yes I have used the salt technique. I find it less reliable though and many times it actually ate the paint down to the bare plastic. You have to be really careful using it.
I know there is a company that sells a similar technique but I cannot think of the name off hand.
