Replacing Asurmen Blue
I have run out of Asurmen Blue and have tried the Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade. I find it is too dark and not blue enough. Is there another wash in a different range that gives a vibrant blue similar to the old blue wash?

According to the conversion chart on Dakka, Vallejo Blue Shade Wash (73207) is the closest thing unless you make your own.

Re: Replacing Asurmen Blue
Same chart also says that Drakenhof Nightshade is a good match for Asurmen Blue. I was looking for personal experience. Charts are not very trustworthy.

Re: Replacing Asurmen Blue
Well remember the Vallejo range was made before the new GW washes/paints and the colours matched very well. However yes you are correct, the new range is nothing like the old in terms of matching the colours.
From the table:
***** GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match )
Although I have not used the wash I have used many of the Game Colours and they do match very well.

So you don't have the personal experience that I was asking for?
That table came up on my first search before I posted. I was able to read it all and found little helpful there. Thanks.
