New trader, seeking advice on this 40k lot

Post by Sheit27 »

Hello everyone. I'm quite new to barter town and would like to sell my warhammer 40k collection and maybe start fresh on a new army.

I was wondering if I could get some advice and tips on the best way to sell what I have. (split lots/sell as one army/ebay auction etc)

I have some pictures of everything on http://imgur.com/a/jG1Wc#0

There is almost 5000 points of space marines here which was primarily a imperial fist force with the addition of a newer blood angels chapter I had started

To include
1 razor back (NIB)
1 scout squad (NIB)
1 death company box (NIB)
4 Dreadnoughts (arms with different weapons included)
3 drop pods (working doors)
2 land speeders (multi melta)
1 land raider (magnetized options of redeemer/normal)
2 Vindicators (1 old metal 1 new)
1 Predator (TLLC/HB)
1 Rhino (old school)
4 Bikers
8 Assault Marines (PF sergeant)
5 CC Terminators (shield/hammer)
5 Old school Terminators
10 man Tac Squad x2 (x2 plasma guns/PF Sergeant)
6 man Dev x2 (x4 Missile Launchers)
6 man Dev (x2 plasma cannon x1 HB)
4 veteran marines (metal models)
1 commander shrike (metal)
1 librarian (metal)
1 vulkan hastan (custom)

Blood Angels (these were kit bashed with death company, dark angels, and grey knights)
1 mephiston (metal
1 Sanguine priest
6 assault marines x3 (melta gun, PW sergeant)

Spare Bits
lots of power weapons
terminator parts (assault cannon)
plasma pistols and flamers
combat and storm shields
x2 frag cannons (dreadnought)
jump packs (x10)
unbuilt marines (from kit bashing)

Moved from Bartertown Questions (which are mainly site things) to General Discussion..

Porkuslime

(btw, those look really good, and I would suggest selling the 2 painted lots separate from each other).

Alternately, if you wanted to sell the bittage separately, why not donate it to the Charity Army project? I don't know where you are (but you can put that into your User Control Panel under Location), but that might be an option..
2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack

You will tend to get a better return in trading. If you are starting another army it would certainly provide more minis in the long run. Otherwise list your items with what you are asking for in the listing and see what happens.
As for the bits I tend to try to include anything for a particular army in an army deal. Otherwise you could hit the bits forum and see who is looking for what you have or put up your own ad with stuff you are looking for.
Just my 2 cents
