Mouldy Paint/Washes?

Post by 3eland »

So I opened my Asurmen Blue wash yesterday and there was a mould like substance chilling on the surface. I haven't used it in probably a month, but I have never had this happen to any of my washes or inks and was quite surprised. Has anyone run into this before? What could have happened to create this?

Thanks in advance.

Do you lick your brushes? :)

I've had this happen before and I imagine some contaminant gets in the pot and it goes wild.

No, but I do on occasion accidentally dip my brush into my tea. Although I usually clean the brush off in my water pot afterwards. But I guess some contaminants most likely transfer to the wash pot.

Yeah, I was mostly being silly. I imagine it is just impurities in the wash. I would skim it off or sieve it out and move on. :)
