My latest finds - Help with ID'ing please

Post by Ninjafingers »

Okay, it's been a while since I've done this, but I recently bought a small batch of random figures and need some help identifying them. One looks like an old Terminator, another from Blood Bowl and I don't know about the others. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've updated the known photos with what they actually are. A friend told me some of those models look like Lord of Rings minis. Did GW makes LotR models in the 90s?

6 may be super-old vampire counts, same with 13

IIRC GW did make an ancient LOTR set (unless it was another company, but one of the mini companies had the license), but I think that was the 80's or something, long before the movies came out

I expect honesty about models' conditions, thank you.

If I don't respond in a day or two, please check back, I've forgotten-sorry.

#3 is an old grenadier model - Saruman the White, that has been slightly squashed. At least I think so. Grenadier did some old LotR mini's as did Mithril, but Mithril stuff was 32 mm. SoL link http://www.solegends.com/citlotr/me62saruman.jpg

Concerning #5, the base looks like an old Mithril rectangle base...does it say the manufacturer on the bottom? Any clues you can find will help us figure this out.
Always remember that your stuff is nearly worthless junk. The other person's items are highly valuable collectibles.

If I owe you a reference, please remind me.

I don't expect people to wait forever for an answer, and expect the same courtesy.

That's a good idea. I'll post an update of what's written on the bottom of the minis later tonight.

Number 5 is indeed a mithril miniature. It is M172 Ghost of the Underdeep.

Okay, here's what I see on the bottoms

#5 has Mithril 169
#8 has Rafm 89
#10 has Mithril 172

#3 has a flocked base and I don't want to rip it off; #6 and #13 have glue on their bases and I can't read them. :'(
