I think that there has been plenty of mistakes to go around. It is crazy to say it, but the NFL HAS to fix this quick. If not, it might just tarnish the brand irrevocably. I watched quite a bit of football this weekend, and I never particularly cared for the regular refs, but this is a nightmare for the NFL.
The replacement referees just can't keep up with what is going on. There are really, really bad calls all the time. The touchdown/interception at the end of last night's game wasn't even close to the worst call in the second half. It should have never even come to that. There was absolutely NO roughing the quarterback on Wilson when the Packers got their interception (I hate the roughing the quarterback call for the most part anyway). And that was offensive pass interference on Rice.
I don't like the Packers that much either, but if things don't get fixed, they are just going to be the first team that obviously lost because of official's ineptitude. Although, there were plenty of examples of games being completely changed by horrendous calls this weekend.
Having said all of that, the Cardinals are looking pretty dang good this year so far. And, I can't believe that I will say this, but the Bengals are pretty exciting on the offence. They need to find their defense again though.
