BTR: paramedicpirate- Resolved by ParamedicPirate

Post by Dweomer »

Update 8/7/06: My money has been refunded and an apology proffered. If the mods don't mind, I would like to leave this thread up. It would provide a point of reference that a problem was had, but it did eventually get resolved.

Okay, I hate doing these, but... because of our prior good trade I gave the benefit of the doubt... and then some. Hopefully things will resolve, but... If this isn't enough for everybody, I'll post the PayPal payment info also. All of this was conducted via PM.

The short version: I spent $150 for some Tau never recieved.

The long:

Hey Terry,
I saw your reply to the guy looking for Tau. If he doesn't bite, I might be interested in them. What do you have and what condition are they in?

Alrighty then... you've got some extra Tau floating around. Well, my big thing is I am trying to get figs that are in decent condition... Of your list, I'm looking for the following:
2 Devilfish
1 Hammerheads
60 Firewarriors
4 crisis suits
4 drones
Let me know if there's anything on my trade list you're interested in... I'll also have some funds in the next week or so if nothing else.

Cash is not a problem. How much would you want for:
2 Devilfish
1 Hammerhead
60 Firewarriors
4 Crisis Suits
4 Drones
I don't have to have guys new on sprue, but bare plastic with all their parts would be nice.

Hey Terry,
Okay, I'll admit... I'm interested in the Tau. As long as they're in good (unpainted) condition, I'm happy with the price. Where do you want me to send the money? I can do check or PayPal.

Hey Terry,
You've got cash. The payment for the Tau is done.

A couple weeks later I PM'd him to say I'd never recieved the figs... but the PM pushed out of my Sentbox. This is his reply. Note the date.

Bill,
Sorry about that ...I am out of town for a few more weeks and had set it up for someone to mail out to you.
I was unaware that it didnt get to you, I will call and inquire as to why.... if that doesnt take care of it I will mail it off as soon as I get in.

Hey Terry,
Well, it's been a few more weeks (a month) and I still haven't gotten the Tau. I'd normally be a bit put out at this point, but our prior good trade has me at only concerned. Can you give me an update?

I am finally home, I am going through what I was going to send to you and trying to recover enough to send. It seems that most of my warhammer stuff has been shattered if I cant get enough of it together I will refund you and send you what I can. I do apologize for the delay but I am home so rarely now it makes trading hard.... I need to hire a few drivers to give me time off again.

Hey Terry,
Okay, so it's been another month and a half with no word. What's going on? At least give me word on what you're doing.
-Bill

And that brings us to now... I hate filing these and hope it gets worked out.

Isn't there an older Bad Trader thread on Paramedic Pirate?
I'll have to look for it.

I have a similar situation. I hope you can get the stuff but if you do not I might suggest getting your stuff together for a police report. Best of luck to you.

Well, I can't find it... but I remember that there was a problem here, and ParamedicPirate was involved somehow.

Yeah, there was one about him a couple months ago, but it was removed because the matter was resolved.

He was calling myself and 2 others bad traders. At least one of the others and I were able to provide tracking numbers that proved the modles we shipped were delivered, there was some other issue with the third person (partial trade/partial payment, maybe?).

He seems to come and go at random...

I assume that he resolved whatever was going on with the last guy, at least the topic went away and never came back... Thats all I remember.

Well, it might've been before the server switch, when all that info was lost.
I know info on a bad trade I had (nailed the A-hole, too) was lost then.

I just thought the Paramedic Pirate (heh heh P.P.) thing was more recent than that.

The person who posted about ParamedicPirate edited their post to remove everything, as I recall.
