I hate to do this, but don't feel I have much choice at this point. In all the years I've been here at Bartertown, I've never had to file a BTR, but if someone just doesn't communicate, you only have so much time to follow up.


On March 20, Brother Ranz posted this list for trade/sale in the 40K forum: viewtopic.php?p=316555#p316555. I sent him a PM regarding 2 of the items listed, and within 2 hours, money had been sent by paypal. I was told the items would be shipped by March 22, but could go out on March 21. That was the last word I've received from Brother Ranz on Bartertown since, though I have contacted him under his pseudonym on another site we both visit, and there he replied he would look for tracking information. Again, that was the only response I've had from him since sending money.

I know this doesnt help with the current trade, but I had a similar situation with Brother Ranz from a trade done around christmas time. Paid money, and repetedly asked for tracking and whatnot, with no information ever being given. I had contacted the MOD's about if I should file a BTR, and as I was writing the BTR I got a message telling me everything was on its way, and 2 days later the items arrived. From his feedback, I do not think that he is going to rip you off, I just think that sometimes he has too much on his plate. Hope this puts your mind at ease a little bit at least.

Thanks. I've had good trades with him in the past, but it is the "reading my PMs and never responding" that got me to this point. I'm more than willing to understand delays, as long as the person communicates with me. I really didn't want to write the BTR because I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt.

I'm in the same boat with him currently. Been trying to get a tracking number for a couple weeks now. Based on his feedback I kinda expected it and I wasn't in a rush, so I haven't pushed it yet. I sent him PayPal on Mar 20 and was told "mail tomorrow or Thursday lunchtime".

File your Paypal claims, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get your money back.

Looks like he's mailing a bunch of packages out now, just sent me a tracking number, so hopefully yours is being sent too.

Yes, he sent me a tracking number today as well.

Please move this to resolved. My package was shipped on 4/6 and delivered safely today. The lack of communication was definitely an issue, but he made up or it by tossing in a nice extra.
