BTR - Ryan Marx aka Rxghost - Resolved

Post by DeJolly89 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 2:30 am

I really hate to do this but as I have not heard back from Rxghost since he confirmed that he had received my items and was going to ship his out back on Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:29 pm I have not been able to get ahold of him and I have not received anything from him ether so I do not see any alternative but to fill out a BTR. I would like to clarify however that Rxghost does have a very high trade record and that I am sure that he just forgot or life got in the way so I don't hold it against him I would just like the items that we agreed to send or my side returned to me.

Here is a quick summary of the trade I will include all the pms back and forth after words.
I traded him:

1 Furioso Dreadnought (bare metal and unassembled)
5 Assault Terminators (nos)
2 FW Dreadnugget Autocannon Arms (Left and right both nos)
2 Sentinels (with auto cannons)
1 Footless Dreadnought
a lot of 2nd edition marines

For his:

1 Emperor Class Battleship
2 Imperial Cruisers
6 Sword Frigates
6 Firestorm Frigates
8 Cobra Destroyers
and some fighters and bombers

Here are the relevant PMs, Everything from finalizing the trade to the shipping details to his confirmation that they have arrived as well as the two PMs still sitting in his inbox which are the first two.

Hey its been quite a while and I haven't heard back from you about the fleet that you were supposed to send me. If you prefer you can text me at (843) 680-1544. I would really like to hear back from you about this. Have you sent them out yet? Please let me know what is going on.
thanks,
Jonathan Reynolds

Hey those ships still haven't come in yet do you have any kind of tracking number or something to look at to see where they are or why they haven't come in yet? Did you send them by ups ground? Just asking because I know it takes them at least 2 weeks to get it anywhere anyway thanks for your help.

Yeah, I've got bases for all of them, most aren't even posted yet. I'll see if I have any cruisers that haven't been assembled and put those aside, if I don't, I know I have extra pieces so you can assembled them differently if you want to.

And yeah, the Emperor is a BEAST.

That sounds good to me I think I would prefer the Emperor class battleship, I have heard some good things about these guys, and I will definitely throw in the 2nd edition marines for fighters and the like. One last question do they all come with bases?

I calculated up the trade values and let me know if this seems like a fair deal:

1 Furioso Dreadnugget
5 Assault Terminators
2 FW Dreadnugget Autocannon Arms
2 Sentinels
1 Footless Dreadnugget

for

1 Emperor Class Battleship or 2 Dauntless Light Cruisers (They're both equivalent in price/points)
2 Imperial Cruisers
6 Sword Frigates
6 Firestorm Frigates
8 Cobra Destroyers

If you want to get rid of those 2nd ed marines I'll throw in some fighters and bombers too.

It's about 1500pts in ships, plus or minus upgrades and such, with enough models of varying size and cost to scale anywhere in between. Let me know what'cha think.

Yea I think that the imperial force you have is more what I am looking for style and model wise. So what would you be interested in for them and do you have any pics or are they not painted?

Sure, I'm still willing to trade the imperials so if you're interested we can work that out.

Thanks for the link I was looking over the armies and I think that I would be more interested in your imperials they are more versatile and although your SM fleet looks powerful I don't really want to invest that much into it when no one around here plays yet. I am trying to get a group together but its not a sure thing yet so I think imperials would be more the way to go for me. thanks again.

Here's my Space Marine fleet. Also, keep in mind that GW makes all of the rules available for free on their website for BFG, so if you want to know anything, just head on over here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=4300022

Mah ships:
2 Battle Barge
6 Strike Cruisers
3 Gladius Class Frigate
3 Nova Class Frigate
3 Hunter Class Destroyer

It's a little over 2000pts without buying extras, but the craft are flexible enough to perform well at lower points limits, that and the battle barges are, like, 425pts a piece so you wouldn't often play with both of them outside of a 1500+ game. Still, they do wreck some face...you get what you pay for. I'd do the whole fleet listed for:

1x Uplifting Primer
1x bare metal Furioso dread
5x NOS TH/SS Terminators I just took the lightning claw out of the box everything else is there.
1 set of FW dread autocannon arms
1 stripped metal dread unassembled missing one foot the pad part. (assault cannon, DCCW)
Some old SMs 2nd edition I believe one with heavy bolter one with missile launcher
2 Sentinels

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you, I'm having trouble finding all of my BFG stuff. So far, I've unearthed:

Emperor Class Battleship
2 Cruisers (Lunar and Gothic Class, I believe)
8 Cobra Destroyers
6 Firestorm Escorts
6 Sword Escorts
A few blisters of imperial ships (the little fighter/bomber craft guys)

and a Space Marine Fleet. I'll have more details on stuffs when I get back from Micro.

Jonathan

I'd be interested in:

1x bare metal Furioso dread(would have to be for something I really need)
5x NOS TH/SS Terminators I just took the lightning claw out of the box everything else is there.
1 set of FW dread autocannon arms (right and left one each) have not been cleaned, or cut off still in baggies.

I have a lot of BFG stuff, most of it unpainted/unassembled (no one I know has a fleet big enough to fight me so I never finished a lot of the models), if you're interested I can put a list together.

All my BFG stuffs are Imperial, though I do have a Space Marine fleet as well.

Like I said earlier I don't think he did this intentionally just that he forgot or real life got in the way. He does have two BTR that I know of one of which has been taken care of and he was not really at fault viewtopic.php?f=104&t=126770. The other one was just opened by dacs2684 here viewtopic.php?f=103&t=130834.

This is my first BTR, and hopefully my only one, so if there is anything wrong with it let me know and I will fix it.

I have been trying to get ahold of him by PM, because thats the only way I have to get a hold of him, and I have not been able to which is why I had to open this form.

Ya same exact situation with me. I understand stuff happens, but I think it would be polite to at least be notified as to when we could be expecting anything. Let me know if he contacts you, my last pm to him has been in my outbox for 8 days now, still no reply.

I always use USPS First class shipping with delivery confirmation and respectfully ask the other trader involved does the same.
I'm pretty easy going so if something comes up, let me know and we can work out the situation.
So with that being said....let's barter!

I am so sorry everyone. It has just been a mess over here for me these last few weeks and I haven't gotten this stuff taken care of like I should have; it was never my intention to inconvenience or defraud anyone or anything, just everything spiraling out of control and being stretched too thin and I am so sorry that I've caused all this trouble. Everything for everyone is getting shipped out tomorrow morning before I go to class and I'll be trying to catch up on my PMs to let everyone know what is going on with the stuff that is owed. Again, my sincerest apologies for the hassle that I've put everyone through, I really don't know how I let it get away from me like this but I'll do what I can to get it taken care of.

Ryan, I don't think anyone sincerely believed you were absconding. At this point, most of us realize that someone with your history is more likely having problems than doing something wrong.

Not that it makes the trade partner feel any better. Granted.

Thank you for chiming into the thread with some info, and I hope everything gets on track for you soon.
