BTR DanWeber - Resolved via PayPal Dispute

Post by Paintbrushturkey »

is it me or am i running into a disproportionately large amount of screwballs lately? no reference has been left yet however a paypal claim has been filed iam sick and tired of people trying to *edit* me over ... or dissappear in the middle of a transaction without ever conirming if an items was sent or not or whatever...... if they turn up sometime i take back everything i said here, but for now i'll assume the worst....

I could pull $15 off the total for the book (I think that's what I was working it in as), so $75?

Tim,

There is the International small flat rate box at 13.45, which would work for under 4lbs = upside.
There's no way the rulebook unless I folded it up and squeezed it into one (probably of its own) would fit in one = downside.

Please advise. I'm happy to split them up between mailings for you, but not sure how you'd want the rules sent if so. I'd also need to manage it so they'll get a little padding for you. They will most likely fit into two or definitely three with better protection (at the less than 4 lbs per).

Tim,

I'm going into the PO today for some other things. I'll ask them to give me a better list in person and get back with you. Hopefully there are two cheaper boxes. The only thing size will make a difference on is the rulebook/binder.

I'll fire back when I get the info.

i think there is a vhs size flat rate box, that is 13 USD if iam not mistaken do you reckon you can fit them into 1 or 2 of them? that would reduce shipping to 13 or maybe 26 usd which imo would be better :-)

Ok,

Got it weighed. It's 8 lb, 8 oz. Here's what the Post Office online gave me for the best rate:

Priority Mail® International Large Flat Rate Box
USPS Supplied Large Box: 12" x 12" x 5 1/2".
Maximum weight 20 pounds.
6 - 10 Days
$55.95

I'd cover $10 of that (as that'd have been the in-country shipping cost anyway).

If you know of a cheaper rate, let me know. I seem to have difficulties finding anything decent through the PO website these days. :(

I have the main stat card for C3 or C2 for each of these, but most of the other 'extra' cards went the way of the dodo when C4 came out. This offer includes free shipping to the US. He has had problems with communications in the past. He has another BTR at the bottom of the page. That one was resolved, so hopefully this one will be also. The other one was also an overseas trade.

Post by DanWeber »

I'm not going to refute the delays, there were some. I am simply stating where things are now.

On 3/20/10 at 10:49:33 am I shipped the items (two USPS priority mail packages) to the address provided to me via Paypal.
The customs form ID numbers were:
LC065165091US
LC06516510US

So they should have been to the address provided to me by now. I can scan in and post the USPS receipt if that helps. Now, stupid me, I didn't do a tracking number on them (usually because I get hassles from the USPS regarding international tracking), thinking that the Customs ID and good will would be enough.

Woops.

So I am now out $26.90 for shipping PLUS the approximately $400 retail for the miniatures. I have a rulebook I pulled out of the original posting to accommodate the buyer (not to mention repackaging the items into two boxes to save him shipping) and reduce the overall cost to him.

That's where it stands now. Paypal's already decided against me, apparently the ONLY evidence they will use to rule in the seller's favor is delivery confirmation information (still following that up with them), but the ONLY evidence necessary to damn a seller is the buyer's word.

Learning lesson, I suppose. But, don't think for a second I did not send the items.
I'm sorry, but due to past issues with international shipping I will not ship internationally.

Dan, please, check your # on this one. It looks like you're missing a #.
When I put it into the USPS site, I get the following message:
Label/Receipt Number: LC06 5165 10US

Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site
The other # pulled up just fine.

It looks like both packages are in Australia now. You might want to go to your local post office and give them the custom numbers and see what they say.

okay, firstly i'd like to thank dan for actually responding, sendondly i would like to apologise for taking so long to do likewise. i have been to the po, with the one tracking number i had via paypal, they said they had nothing, i'll reckeck with them on monday, however they should be there as the tracking info says they are, if they have them i greatly apologise for the trouble and for opening this btr against you, however you left me little choice, as you just played dead (if you had at least responded to either my pm(s) or my e-mail, then all of this could have been resolved via pm, which would have saved yourself and myself the trouble of bothering with all this crap....

uhm just had a re read of this thread:

i have opened the BTR agains Dan on the 18th of march however
Your item was accepted at 10:46 AM on March 20, 2010 in SANTA ANA, CA 92711.
do i reason croorectly that this means that he posted the goblins 2 days AFTER this thread was opened? if so then i can understand why they were not around when paypal resolved the case..... as 20 days are not That uncommon fo0r international shipping.......

What is going on with this :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Did you post them in response to me opening the case?
