ok Gents

here i go again UNFORTUNATELY

Before we jump to the posts i would like to add I wasn't the best trader on earth this time and I take my share of shame for this post. First of all I have being swamped at my company with costumers coming and going and employees making me crazy, yet i have being trying to HONOR all deals i committed to.

Wrapping up:

I had agreed on a deal with Larry, forgot about it and thankfully he reminded about it on a PM, by that time i had the models I promised him with 2 different people BUT I collected them, shipped EXPRESS on my expenses and sent two different shipments to not make Larry wait to long for the models - still there were one missing model and a couple bits probably lost at the shipping - i also sent EXTRA models and a complimentary pro painted model, for the delay and all the confusion.

after he got my second box communications ceased and he started to ignore my messages - and he has being on the site a couple times since he got my last message and simply gave no attention to it! Bottom line, he has all my models and i have nothing, not even an excuse!!

What do you guys think i should do at this point? post a negative ref? how long should i wait to step fw?

Hi Larry,

your box have being shipped 3 days ago express to compensate the delay plus a couple free gifts in there. Fire of salvation and the hierophant were left behind for they were already with my painter(another state). They are arriving tomorrow morning for me and posted at the afternoon. I got the boxes today. Most of the stuff arrived fine, there isn't anything that can't be fixed. However, there is no Stannis Brocker. There are two regular steelhead cav guys, but Stannis isn't here.

hey Larry,

haven't forgot about your post!

can you specify which part of it's mace is missing? That is the second time i have problems with missing bits from WM figs. I have to find a better way to pack them!! I can definitely discount the missing bits from the stuff you are shipping, which i believe you haven done to this point right?

As for the Stannis, there has being over an year since i last played i might have confused them, sorry about it!! You still want the cav guy right? if so they value pretty much the same and you can take something else from your lot in case you feel the need for it!

just let me know what you think is fair to do and i'm fine with it!

I have traded with Larry a couple of times, and he has come through with each trade. However, I do recall that he lacked communication once the deals were sent. I am not sure if he is busy, or practices a "fire-and-forget" trading method, or something else entirely. I was worried the first time I traded with him as well, but it all worked out and I would trade with him again.

I would give it a little bit more time since you are quite a ways off, and it is the holiday season.

Hi, Paulo.

A couple points/notes/questions.

1) This forum should never be used for "Possible" BTR's. Either it's a BTR or it isn't. "Possible" shouldn't be in the subject line. As such, I've edited your title. Not the biggest infraction or anything. Just a point of note.

2) This does qualify as a BTR, but only because of his lack of communications. Eight days without responding is too long. Especially if he's logging in and getting your PMs. Otherwise, it's only been about 8 days since his last PM.

3) On your 12/6 PM to him, you complain about "non-communication" but, according to the PM's you posted, your last PM to him was 11/30 and he didn't respond to it. The one before that WAS responded to, meaning you only sent one PM that was ignored (prior to 12/6). Were there some you didn't include here? If so, you should do so. ALL communications are required. If you did not send him and PMs in the 11/30 to 12/6 gap, you probably should have. It's VERY possible to read a PM, intend to respond, get busy, then forget. At least one follow-up should be sent before "non-communication" complaints are made, really.

In your preface, you also said, "First of all I have being swamped at my company with costumers coming and going and employees making me crazy, yet i have being trying to HONOR all deals i committed to." What *I* want to know is what kind of company is it that you are fortunate enough to have employees work under you who know enough about gaming to pack boxes for you? LOL That must be quite nice.

As for my company - heheh. I've been a technology multinationals executive for almost 10 years. AMD, Intel, ATI, always handling Latin America for them and i got REALLY bored with all the corporate craziness and people backstabbing you and all that boring things. That gave me a lot of contacts which i decided to take advantage of 2 years ago by setting up a Rep Agency that help foreign companies on a tight budget to get their hands and products into Latin America.

it happens that by the same time i fell in love with war games and one of the meeting rooms at my office is, to be fair and honest, a battleground, with a table constantly ready for a match during lunch time and end of the afternoon. So far my 3 employees play war games and i'm fairly happy with our "work environment". I also ended up talking with GW UK and Sherry from PP about helping them to bring their hands down here but nothing came to actual business so far!! My right hand at the office, knows a lot about gaming and is a fairly good player of WFB he helps me getting my BTown deals organized!!

Ok, just to be fair about this whole situation. Paulo hasn't been exactly the most communicative in this process either, having had a lapse of 11 days. He also misrepresented models in the deal. I'm always willing to give the other person a chance a to fix these kind of things, they happen to everyone. I never jump to trying to besmirch someone rep here without solid cause. And by dealing with people in this way, I have built up a good rep here. This trade hasn't gone as smoothly as most on either side, but I certainly wasn't go to post a bad trader thread about him.

I also think I have some pretty solid mitigating circumstances, having been incapacitated for a few days and having to scramble to cover work obligations, bartertown wasn't my first thought.

I think my record here speaks for itself and I would hope that the extenuating circumstances in this case warrant some attention.

If you read my post i think i was pretty fair about it Larry and I didn't do anything permanent other than express my concerns about you having my models and I having nothing not even a word from you. That being said I totally understand your problems and I agree with you that those things can happen to anyone and health and family should be priorities at those times. I've being part of something like it and was knocked off for 20 days so i know how you few!

let's just make sure we finish this on good terms and satisfactory for both of us!

If you read the initial post carefully, you'll see that Paulo openly owned up to his own errors. He left nothing out (that I can see) about the delay, then mistakes he made.
In fact, one mistake was to include 2 Steelhead Cavalry models, but not the Stannis (I'm presuming you guys know what I just said. LOL I haven't a clue). According to previous PM's, that was actually what he initially offered and you preferred to get. So, while (agreed) it isn't what you were expecting, it was what you initially wanted. Also, for the error, he still offered to let you drop something from what you were sending.
I think that Paulo handled his mistakes fairly well.

Now, that being said, please don't think I'm saying you DIDN'T (handle things well). You've established reputation enough that, if you say you were in an accident, I believe you. No questions asked about it.I think what caused the problems for Paulo was the non-communication COMBINED with this:

patience gone with the non communication situation! I know you have being at the website a couple times since my last message and are reading my pm's.

Emphasis mine.

If you were logging into the site & reading the PM's he sent you, what else could he have thought? KWIM?

Anyway, I'm glad to see you posting in here. Please, keep in touch with Paulo. Considering your circumstances, I'm certain he'll be patient on shipping until you can reasonably get them out. Once everything's completed on the trade, we'll work on getting the title edited to reflect what happened.
