Alright Heres what happened. He sent his end, and it got here without a problem. I noticed that he was missing some models namely the Grey Knight Justicar, 1 Grey knight trooper, and a lot of the cards to the Star wars minis. I wrote:

Also, what game system are your 'henchmen' from? only about a quarter of them are citadel legal. I'm gonna try to sell them just as soon as i figure out what they are. I know you chucked them in for free, so I'm still grateful. Just LMK anyway.

Thats the last I heard of him. Its now August and I haven't gotten anything. I sent him another email stating he could just send a $30 money order instead of buying the models new if he wanted to, but he never responded to that. I'm going to send another email, see if he responds.

Put simply, I can't send the clix to his house unless I know hes there, as he would have to sign for it. (UPS is the only carrier that will ship my gigantic box) I also don't want to send If I didn't get what we agreed upon. But I can't just keep it, you know? In the meantime its a huge lot of clix that is taking up a lot of space in my closet, and doing nothing productive as it sits in purgatory.

I put this up here because Lin thought it was a good idea, to ask for feedback + get a record down. Any thoughts?

I also have had an odd experience with ted777ccg. He was willing, in April, to send me a huge amount of White Dwarf mags, plus some other GW printed items.. and it never arrived.

Due to trade ref diferential, he was shipping first. It never arrived. I sent travis emails at the end of may.. end of june, and he responded to the one I left in july.. evidently the parcel he sent me got "lost" at his shipping location .. which evidently was his local game store.

He and I called off the trade, (I had been sitting on my side of the trade since April).. and he has now offered to send me parts from his upcoming Assault on Blach Reach box set to make up for the immense delay and failure to complete our prior trade 4 months ago.

I am very curious as to if this will materialize..

What I'd do is to send a follow-up e-mail giving him some options:
- he sends $30 for the difference
- you ship $30 less stuff

Explain the UPS issue of needing someone to sign:
- get a shipping location that would work for him,
- arrange for him to pick up at the nearest UPS hub

Interesting... no one thinks this could be an evil plot of some kind, do they? How could one manipulate that? Again I rec'd the stuff, and have actually traded off most of it by now. I got out of flames of war pretty much as soon as I got the book. My friend i was playing it with decided it was too historically inaccurate for his tastes. So I got commited to it, then he joined the air force.

Anyway, I find it hard to believe that this guy had any bad intentions in mind, because he never seemed to question his responsibility to ship first. But i'm not completely sure- what if he just wanted a 'commitment' out of me? To make sure I would have to deal with it, knowing he would be away for some time? Just a thought, no offense intended.

Also, I didn't give him an ultimatum in the email i sent, it was a link to this post and a reminder that I was here. I agree with what John said- give him an ultimatum. I'll do that. And the UPS thing makes sense, but there are always excuses, valid or otherwise. I think "I can't pick up my package, I'm in Iraq" is a very good excuse.

Again what do you think?

As it is, you're not "out" anything except for the few cubic feet of storage space that it takes for you to store them in.

He said he'd be back in July. He's running late. I'd give him until the end of August and then start contemplating that the stuff you were GOIG to send him is, now, yours... after a while, the stuff is considered abandoned and is yours, anyway... I just don't know the time frame involved.

I don't know anything about it. I don't play ANY pre-paint collectible mini games. I just remember someone mentioning it.

I just went to Wizards.com, clicked on the "Star Wars" link for their miniature games, then clicked on database.

There are no card scans that I found, but you CAN search for each mini and get its' stats. I tried it on that BARC Speeder you mentioned and got stats on it. You could always do a Cut & Paste, print a screen shot or something, I guess.

And as far as the time frame is concerned, Lin gave him a year. I can wait. I'd much rather get them to him though, I don't like to 'steal'. Which is what I would be doing, basically. I understand that after a year, for all intents and purposes he had abandoned it and therefore its mine, (BTW, where did you see this?) but I'd still feel bad.

Dunno. Been a LONG time. I'd suggest trying to Google it to see if you can find specifics. Then again, it looks like that might not be a necessity.

Oh... and, if he sends you a Money order, be careful with it. When you take it to your bank, BE SURE to point out it out to them if it is, either, written in Canadian $ or drawn on a Canadian bank. Your bank has special processing procedures on those and it would BLOW for you to think you had the money, only to have an adjustment debited from your account or an unexpected hold placed on it until the item clears. You may also be subject to a foreign item transaction fee (which, at some banks, exceed the amount of the MO he's sending). Then again, they might wave it, due to the low amount, BE SURE TO ASK FIRST.

No, I don't think he is masterminding some evil plot.. in fact he has been pretty good with communication to me.

I am also thinking he had no bad intentions.. my experience was him gladly shipping first.. and then when he and I realized there was a problem he looked into it on his end, and found that the issue was on his end. He apologized, and we agreed to null the trade. I was out nothing but time.. he evidently is out his end of the deal, as his parcel was lost.

In spite of that, he offered stuff from AoBR whenever he gets his copy, to make up for my time and effort. That is just, maybe, being too nice. I wish I could see into the future and see how this comes out.

I was, as I have said, analyzing potential outcomes. There is nothing wrong with that, but what I said was outlandish, and I knew it, It was simply all that I could think of.

On the other hand, I should have emailed him first. I imagine he just forgot, because he got back to me within 24 hours. This is a long debate over a guy who is a good trader. Or at least could be. (again not necessarily, but probably) That, In my opinion, is unnecessary.

I am not sure.. since it seems you and I are the only ones he is "in trade" with.. probably not. Since neither of us is really out anything but time, this really does not warrant a post over in the BTR area.. and since he seems willing to go above and beyond, this posting MIGHT slightly hurt his trading cred.. but since no neg feedback at this point is warranted, that should not impact him much.

About the only thing that I could see him doing is making a post here to confirm that we are the only ones affected, and confirm how he is doing his best... yanno?
